The Trumpeter Inn, one of San Juan Island's premier lodging establishments. Our pastoral estate, designated an official Backyard Wildlife Sanctuary, offers a unique opportunity for guests to enjoy and view deer, fox, trumpeter swans, dabbling ducks and other wetland species. Country quiet, yet less than five minutes from "downtown" Friday Harbor where you can enjoy the island's charming shops, numerous art galleries and fine gourmet restaurants.

In the morning, with a cup of coffee in hand, walk along the country lane or down the meandering trail on the five acre property to enjoy the horses and cattle on adjacent pastures. Spend the afternoon in the beautiful gardens featuring a panoramic view of the entire San Juan Valley, and in the distance, False Bay and Washington's snow-capped Olympic Mountains. In the evening, relax on a lawn chair or private patio and view the sky exploding with stars.

The Trumpeter Inn is one of the few San Juan Island accommodations that provides concierge services. We will happily help you arrange for memorable whale watching experiences, kayaking, and romantic dinners.

Our Rooms

Bay Laurel: Located on the second floor, this spacious deluxe room features a king size bed, private bath with tub/shower combination, a gas fireplace and private deck with table and chairs to enjoy the beautiful countryside. This room will also accommodate an additional rollaway bed (additional charges will apply).

Rosemary: Located on the first floor, this spacious deluxe room features a king size bed, private bath with tub/shower combination, a gas fireplace and private deck with table and chairs for your ultimate relaxation. This room will also accommodate an additional rollaway bed (additional charges will apply).

Sage: This large corner room with a queen bed overlooks the beautiful San Juan hills, ponds and pasture lands. It features a private bath with tub/shower combination and is located on the second floor.

Chamomile: This beautiful room features a queen size wrought iron bed and private bath with tub/shower combination. It is located on the first floor with views of the tranquil San Juan Valley.

Yarrow: This bright and cheery queen bedroom on the second floor overlooks the pastures and hills of San Juan Island. The private bath features a tub/shower combination.

Savory: Our most versatile room is equipped with two twin beds which can be made into a king size bed. This room has views of the garden and is located on the first floor with a private entrance. The bathroom is built to accommodate wheelchairs with a spacious wheelchair accessible shower. This room will also accommodate an additional rollaway bed (additional charges will apply).
