Refreshing drink, cold during the hot summer or hot during the cold winter.
Ingredients
- 4 – 5 large sprigs of fresh rosemary, rinsed (5 – 6 inches long)
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice
- 7 cups water
- 1- 1 1/2 cup sugar (depending on how sweet you like it)
Directions
Bring 4 cups of water to a boil, add rosemary, remove from heat and steep for 20 minutes uncovered.
Strain warm liquid into a pitcher and add sugar – stir to dissolve.
Add remaining water, lemon (lime) juice and ice to equal 2 quarts.
In summer, chill and serve with a sprig of rosemary over ice; or reheat and serve hot in winter.
