Farmhouse Sweet & Sour Cranberry Bread

A very pretty and delicious quick bread. It may also be cut into thick slices and served as a cake with whipping cream. This recipe has been handed down through our families for many years. It is a traditional holiday favorite or special treat at other times of the year, when using cranberries from the freezer.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3 cups frozen cranberries
- 1 cup milk
- 5 T. melted butter
Directions
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes (less for the smaller pans), until knife test is clean.
Combine sugar, flour and baking powder.
Stir in milk and melted butter alternately.
Spoon into a 5" x 9" greased bread pan or two 4"x 6" bread pans.
Cool, then slice & enjoy.
