Squalicum Lake Cottage

Forget the world outside and ease into your private 'guesthouse for two.' Squalicum Lake Cottage is part of an award winning contemporary design project, nestled among cedar & fir trees on acreage overlooking Squalicum Lake and Squalicum Mountain. We are noted in the editions of Best Places In the Northwest To Kiss.

The cottage consists of three rooms (living room/dining, bedroom & bathroom) with a vaulted beamed ceiling and an abundance of skylights for romantic stargazing. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, however breakfast is delivered to your doorstep allowing you to enjoy your morning in a leisurely fashion while Mother Nature provides a visual feast. Breakfast includes a lovely presentation with fresh flowers and herbs and may include such treats as homemade quiche, granola, waffles w/ berries and always freshly ground coffee.

The bathroom is stocked with all the essentials including spa bathrobes, and a queen sized pillowtop bed along with a down comforter, insuring a restful nights sleep. There is also Wi-Fi Internet access for those who must take their work with them. Extensive gardens are on the property with something always in bloom from Spring through Fall. Enjoy your private porch while watching the fish jump on the lake or listen to dozens of frogs chorus at eveningtime. Watch the variety of birds on the various feeders right outside your windows. You will be our only guests at this restful and secluded property.

Squalicum Lake Cottage is an ideal place to use as a base for exploring. Guests have taken the ferry to Victoria for a day, gone shopping in Vancouver, whale watched in the San Juan Islands... the list is endless. Many a couple has come to rekindle or nurture a relationship.


We are an adult only property and at this time cannot accommodate children or pets. Weekly rates available upon request. We are open from April 1st through October 31st, closed during the winter months but please feel free to contact us regarding reservations and information. Two night minimum.
