Sequim

Sequim is a city on the northern part of the Olympic Peninsula, nestled between the Olympic Mountains and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It is famous for the Lavender and Irrigation festivals.

It is known for being in a "banana belt" and hence having more sunshine than the surrounding area. Due to the protection from major storms by the majestic Olympic Mountains, Sequim only gets an average of 14 inches a year.
