Friday Harbor is beautiful rain or shine! As the ferry approaches the dock on a sunny day, the tall masts of the sailboats gleam, brightly colored buildings rise sharply above the sparkling waters & flowers sway from lampposts along the steep sidewalks. Take a walk around the docks & then choose from the many restaurants which beckon with outdoor decks. Visitors will find treasures in San Juan Florist & Chocolate, Gourmet Galley, Dominique’s House, Island Studios Art Gallery & many other boutiques. Explore Robin’s Nest for eclectic garden gifts & Island Wools for beautiful fiber & knitting products. On a cloudy afternoon a tour of the Whale Museum is a unique experience, as is a leisurely stroll through Funk-n-Junk Antiques or a quiet browse through Serendipity Secondhand Book Store.
If you have more time, rent a moped or bicycle, or hop on the San Juan Shuttle for an informative tour of favorite spots around the Island: Lime Kiln Lighthouse, Crystal Acres Alpaca Farm, Pelindaba Lavender Farm & San Juan Vineyards each offer beautiful scenery & enticing keepsakes. And we haven’t even mentioned the kayaking, whale watching, beaches or hiking trails!

Argyle House Bed & Breakfast
Argyle House Bed and Breakfast, an original Craftsman design home, was built in 1910. It is one of the few Friday Harbor homes that still retains its original charm and character. Located two blocks from downtown Friday Harbor. Dogs and children are welcome. Enjoy our lovely gardens and hot tub.
