2012 Annual Meeting

WBBG Conference

The Theme for this Year’s Conference is “Invite, Involve, Inspire.”

We Invite you to join us, and we hope to Involve you in learning and to Inspire you (and your future guests) by attending!Don’t miss this opportunity to learn new ideas to wow your guests, work more efficiently, and increase your business. This year’s meeting is jam-packed with education and opportunities to network with other innkeepers as well as industry vendors.

The cost for this 1½ day conference is $149 per person for WBBG members and $199 for non-members. In addition to the educational sessions, the rate includes lunch on Monday, a networking reception, vendor fair, and dinner on Monday evening, and lunch on Tuesday. There is an additional $35 registration fee for an optional Internet Marketing and Wellness Check session on Monday morning.

 

About Bremerton and the Kitsap Conference Center…  Come early and stay late!

Site of the 2012 WBBG Annual Meeting on November 5 and 6 is the beautiful Kitsap Conference Center, conveniently located right at the ferry terminal in Bremerton (kitsapconferencecenter.com). Lodging will be next door at the waterfront Hampton Inn, with a special WBBG conference rate of $99, including breakfast.

Nestled between the natural beauty of the Olympic Mountains and the skyscrapers of Seattle, Bremerton is less than an hour’s scenic ferry ride from downtown Seattle. The downtown waterfront is home to the Kitsap Conference Center at Bremerton Harborside, offering a perfect backdrop and gateway to the region’s wonders.

 

Downtown Bremerton has been experiencing a renaissance and the Kitsap Conference Center at Bremerton Harborside is a flagship of the downtown revitalization project.  Bremerton Harborside is home to several restaurants and a dazzling fountain on the outdoor plaza.  Just down the stairs from Bremerton Harborside, visitors can stroll along the Louis Mentor Boardwalk and get an incredible view of Sinclair Inlet.

Additional attractions within walking distance include the USS Turner Joy (ussturnerjoy.org), the Kitsap County Historical Society Museum (kitsaphistory.org), the Valentinetti Puppet Museum (ectandpupets.org), and the Puget Sound Navy Museum (pugetsoundnavymuseum.org).

8:00 am - Noon:                Bonus Session: Internet Marketing and Website Checkup: Must-Dos for the Successful Innkeeper with Lisa Kolb (Acorn Internet Services), registration and additional fee required by September 21 for personalized evaluation of your website and Internet presence.

11:30 am - Noon:              Arrival & Registration for full conference for new arrivals

1:00 -  4:30 pm: Educational Workshops

  • Update from the Washington Tourism Alliance, by George Sharp (WTA)
  • Creating Curb Appeal & Edible Gardening by Marianne Binetti (Author/Speaker)

 

5:30 - 7:00 pm:  Networking Reception with Associate Members & Vendors at the Fountain Room (complimentary appetizers, cash bar available) This will be your chance to chat intimately with a select group of industry suppliers. Among those companies who will be there: PLC Insurance, Unique Angles Photography, English Insurance, Comphy Sheets, Heartwarming Treasures (gift baskets and amenities), buuteeq, and Sail Q and S Cleaning Products,  Advanced Vapor Technologies

7:00 - 9:00 pm:  Buffet Dinner & Program at the Fountain Room
